Villa Laelia

Villa Laelia is located at Porto Ozias at the southern most tip of Paxos 3 km from Gaios and reached by the small pretty costal road passing numerous small bays and beaches some deserted enticing you to stop for a refreshing swim.
Villa Laelia is nestling in the hillside , commanding the most enviable views across the bay to the satellite island of Moggonissi with it’s small sandy beach and restaurant, beyond the Epirus mountains stand as a back drop to this enchanting scene. If this was not enough to captivate the mind glance sideways and the stunning white cliffs of Anti Paxos rise from the glistening midnight blue sea, as the sunsets the hue of the cliff faces turn a vibrant orange.
The villa  has been carefully restored with the design of the interior and exterior offering paramount luxury.
Villa Laelia consists of two units side by side each with their own beautiful kitchen and comfortable living areas. The main steep drive entrance at the rear of the units is shared and then each house is detached and has its’ own terraces, its’ own private entrance from the road with steps meandering through the mature gardens. Between the units is the stunning horizon pool which looks out at the sea below the garden. Comfortable decking surrounds the pool which is the perfect place to soak up the rays. If sunbathing is not your thing fear not, there are about five different places you can sit in the shade and enjoy the latest bestseller or snooze after a long lunch. What we love about this house is the variety of places to spend time, there is even a small appartment (also between two houses) which would be perfect for a nanny or cook – or for teenagers who want to be apart from the rest of the family.
Designed by an Italian owner the villa is elegantly furnished with very clever use of colours and textures. The lounge of the villa opens out to large sun terrace where you find open –air sitting rooms, settees , voile drapes fluttering in the soft breeze. This villa brings the indoors out side in every sense, the huge kitchens also open out to the terrace with further cupboards, tables and cooking facilities.
For added luxury step into villa Laelia’s  pool with a cleverly designed waterfall effect, and perhaps pamper yourself with it’s hydro massage while looking dreamily out to sea.

Just below the house, there is a small secluded beach, ideal for a quick swim before breakfast. There is also a jetty just below the house. There is a sandy beach opposite which is in short drive or quick boat trip and two beaches within 5 minutes drive of your villa.
