Villa Jamesia

Villa Jamesia featured in the James Bond film “ For your eyes only” and “The Executioner” starring George Peppard and Joan Collins. Splendidly situated in a prominent position 40 metres above the sea. The villa has a beautiful panoramic view looking southeast over the Ionian Sea and famous Pondikonissi, or Mouse Island. Located at the apex of Kanonis, villa Jamesia is well away from Corfu’s tourist crowds, yet offers easy access to the restaurants and shops of Corfu town, and is only 20 minutes away from the Corfu Golf Club. The 10 acre estate has beach frontage and beautifully tended gardens filled with shrubs and flowers, and shaded by hundreds of olive and cypresses trees, with bougainvillea, wisteria, plumbago and jasmine. The sun drenched terraces, and breathtaking views over the vast, turquoise-blue sea, and the wonderfully calming swishing of the trees, all fuse together to make this a truly spectacular house.

The villa was completely renovated during the last two years to the very highest standards of design and quality. The style of the furnishings and decor is arranged for cool, simple elegant Mediterranean living. The undisputed highlight of the main house is the splendid terrace “Bella vista”, (approximately 70 square meters) The accommodation comprises of the following: a very large reception area with a big stone fireplace and an adjacent dining area, which connects with a covered outdoor dining terrace. There is a connecting study/reading room, which opens onto a shaded terrace.The two large master bedrooms suites with AC & fan each open on a private terrace/balcony, and have large marble bathrooms with showers and separate bathtubs. There are a further four twin bedded rooms with fans each with a bath/shower room; each of these rooms opens directly onto a terrace. The kitchen, laundry and staff accommodations are spacious and well equipped. Whether you have a large family or group of friends, there is plenty of space, comfort and privacy.

Situated on a level lower than the main house and over looking the pool, the guesthouse has one double bedded room with a an en suit bathroom with shower, and a private terrace over looking the pool area. AC & fan.  The second room has twin beds, en suit bathroom with bathtub, and terrace. AC & fan. The Living room has a fireplace, kitchenette, satellite TV, video, AC & Fan and balcony.

A charming studio guest apartment is on the same level as the pool, this has a double bed, kitchenette and bathroom with shower.  Stereo, AC & fan.

The 20 x 10 meter seawater swimming pool is located 2 levels below the main house. With Moroccan marble and luscious green grass, this large area is perfect for entertaining and barbeques. With pergolas, teak poolside furniture and a shower, the pool is as cool, elegant and comfortable as the main house. Completing this comfort is the large pool house with two changing rooms, two shower rooms and two WC. It has its own completely equipped kitchen and a large outdoor bar and barbeque area.

As the estate is built on several levels, there are 3 main garden areas: the pool area, the level above the pool area which has a shaded terrace and view of the sea, and the largest of these is located on the level above the main house with a beautiful view over looking the sea and mouse island, it also has a fountain, grape vines shading a large area, and a small patio among the shrubs.

The pine forest cloaking the property covers 5 acres and scents the air. This is a wonderful place to appreciate the beauty of the estate. With hundreds of century old olive and cypress trees, as well as, other indigenes species, privacy is ensured, while framing classic vistas of hills, bays and open sea.

A path winds down to the pebble beach and Plateau, that has a changing room, outdoor shower, WC, bar and sitting/bathing area, which gives access to the pier (12x2meters). This area is a well-protected natural harbour, even for large yachts.
